Well the Christmas spirit is definitely alive this year as I approach my 20th year anniversary being a licensed Realtor in Ontario. With all of the ups and down of supporting a family with a 100% commission income, I am feeling really blessed this year to have come this far. Granted we are not the wealthiest family nor have a huge network of business contacts etc. we have learned to be happy with what we have and really appreciate everything that is given to us. I guess by entering this parade and putting ourselves out there, we were hoping to share the joy of the season and spread the news that we have survived the times in this highly competitive industry with love and strong ethics. Truly, I've have come to notice that I mostly enjoy helping others achieve their goals and watching them thrive. Well, to make a long story short, we bought a home in this fabulous, friendly neighbourhood and haven't looked back since! We haven't even had the slightest urge to good back to the old neighbourhood, to look around. Now, we have kids of our own and our social lives have never been better! We gather at parks, or in each others backyards, and watch the kids play while we catch up on the latest gossip (lol). If you run out of milk and the stores are closed...no problem, just ask one of your new friends. Need a sitter, or someone to let the dog out, no longer an issue! Hey listen, I can go on all day about how great this neighbourhood is yet I would rather you experience it for yourself. While searching for homes today for my current (active) buyer clients, I noticed that many homes that previously would have been considered "overpriced" are showing up 'Sold' and 'Sold Conditionally'. This seems to be the absolute best time of year for many of us to make major changes in our lives. Little did I know that buying or selling real estate just took over the goal of loosing weight and quitting smoking! lol It's possible that the good weather has had something to do with these amazing house sales, not to mention the extremely low interest rates. For example, I've recently been advised that certain lenders are offering 5 year fixed mortgages at 2.99%...that's insane! Anyway, I write this positive message with the request in mind to PLEASE consider me when the topic of real estate comes up. It may be that a person close to you is telling you that they are beginning their quest to improve their living situation or you (like me :) have been sitting on the fence for a while now and would finally like to take the next step in finally moving.
